For the last 80 years, The Fiddlehead has published a library of excellent literature, but it has also featured the artworks of hundreds of talented artists from Atlantic Canada (and beyond) on our covers and in our pages.
For our 80th anniversary, The Fiddlehead is celebrating the journal’s artwork. From our origins as a simple pamphlet of work shared between a small group of literary friends, and the first edition of the journal which featured a mere seven poets—all of whom went on to be recorded in Canada’s literary histories—to the journal as it is today: several hundred pages of masterful fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry wrapped in some of the best Atlantic Canadian art.
We invite you to join us Saturday, February 8th at the Fredericton Public Library for the opening of our exhibit 80 Years of Art at The Fiddlehead which will feature a retrospective of the artwork associated with the magazine over the years. During the exhibition opening, we will also launch our Winter 2025 issue with readings from contributors: celebrating the next installment of The Fiddlehead.
This event is also part of FROSTival!
I'm honoured to be a contributor to The Fiddlehead! Loved working with your editors. Will share!
